The School of Business and Management
Azusa Pacific University's School of Business and Management (SBM) provides advanced, professional education that can lead to or enhance a career in a variety of settings, including businesses, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations. Careers in such areas become more demanding each day. APU's graduate business programs equip students with the tools to succeed in today's fast-paced, competitive marketplace, both locally and globally.
SBM offers three dynamic graduate degrees: Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Arts in Management (MAM), and Online Master of Arts in Management (MAM). These experience-based programs offer students the most relevant education possible and can be completed in as little as 12 months. Classes are offered one night a week during nine-week terms, or in a flexible online format for Online MAM Program students.
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
The MBA Program provides students with the opportunity for broad, professional development. Through a reality-centered classroom experience enhanced by collaboration with the business community, the program develops student skills within the general functional areas of business. Students participate in real-life business situations with case study and simulation games.
To qualify for the MBA Program, students must hold an undergraduate business degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Applicants whose undergraduate degree is in a non-business field may need to satisfy the requirements of six preparatory courses, which provide necessary business fundamentals.
Master of Arts in Management (MAM)
Human capital remains the greatest investment a company can make through recruiting, hiring, and training the right individuals. Business leaders must also know how to positively steer organizational change and create a culture of teamwork. The 39-unit Master of Arts in Management (MAM) Program teaches organizational development leaders how to effectively motivate employees to exceed market expectations by improving competency levels and job performance. The program offers relevant business strategies without a financial emphasis.
