Accounting - Associate's

The mission of the Accounting Department is to ensure students receive the proper education to accomplish the tasks an accounting professional will encounter in this field of employment. Upon completion of the Accounting program, students will have developed not only the technical accounting skills but also interpersonal and written communication skills.

The Accounting Department strives to ensure that educational outcomes best reflect those skills demanded by the business community. Course outcomes are constantly discussed with business leaders and revised accordingly. Opportunities also exist to complete Internships and Service Learning projects.

Business Administration - Associate's

The mission of the Kaplan University Business Administration Program is to help students develop the necessary knowledge, skills and attitude that will enable them to become respected business leaders in the community.

Program Objectives:

* To explore the areas of management and marketing through applied courses designed to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* To practice appropriate and productive interpersonal skills that appreciate diversity and emphasize collaborative team play in the workplace.
* To gather information and create a marketing plan and a business plan as application of knowledge acquired in their business classes.
* To become proficient in state-of-the-art computer technologies.
* To understand social responsibilities in local and global environments.
* To appreciate the importance of written correspondence, and practice the art through multiple forms of written correspondence.
* To provide students with accessible library collections and learning resources, along with the skills to utilize them.
* To create and/or enhance the student's resume and cover letter and to develop solid interviewing skills.
